Powell a standout on Coalers' title team (The Herald News)

You could say that during his football career at Coal City High School, Matt Powell was often a man among boys on the field. Everybody else said so, too. Just ask former Coalers' coach Ken W. Miller, who saw the powerful Powell up close and personal for three straight varsity seasons from 1991 through 1993.
