Jimmie Callicoat OXFORD - Jimmie Carolyn Tatum Callicoat, 75, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at her home in Oxford. She was born in Taylor. She was a secretary for the State of Mississippi for 44 years before retiring.

Dinner reservations are 'urgently needed Port (The Carmi Times)

The annual Carmi Chamber of Commerce dinner meeting is just a few days away, and reservations are lagging, according to David Port, executive director of the organization. The dinner will be held Monday night, Oct. 6 at the First Christian Church Fellowship Hall. Appetizers will be served at 6 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. The price will be $15 per person.
